You ain't a baby no more, baby

(Yeah yeah yeahs r rawk! Har.)

I've been busy. Quite alright though, as I'll be working a little less now to allow my hubby to do what needs doing at work. Gold looms in the September/October horizon...I guess that puts Beta around August. Not as much time as you'd think.

My place feels like it's fast becoming party central. If Greg's not here, it's Lisa and her kids, and Joe pops by for some beers and some really uncomfortable conversation after liberal application of said drinks. (Note: Drunk, single guys in their 60's can get weird and a little creepy. I mean... ~Shudder~) I love love love the company. Thrilled. However, after coming home from work on two recent occasions to what could be classified as a natural disaster area - this wouldn't be happening if I was actually here, because I'm the mean old bitch who ruins everyone's fun without fail - I have decided once every two weeks is more than enough to fulfill my desire for alcohol-soaked conversation. if you wanna come over and watch Love Hina, that's one thing. Go somewhere else to get drunk, please. Oh my god, I swear to you he asked me if I had any porn he could borrow. Tony, if you actually do read this (and I don't think you do, but bases must be covered), you keep your mouth shut or I swear I will beat you in the parking lot.

What else is new? It seems like spring might finally be here, and I'm happy as can be. There's something about the first few weeks of blue skies and warm sunny days that fills you with a sense of hope, makes you believe that life is good and anything is possible, you know? Nice. I hope everyone is doing well, I'm gonna go read a book and enjoy my fabulous day off filled with no responsibilities as I stayed up until 2 in the morning cleaning the pit of despair, and what looked suspiciously like a wee pile of vomit off my floor. At least my carpets have been shampooed now.

P.S. - I'm so torn! Do I watch DOOL at noon, or listen to The O'Franken Factor on Air America Radio? I guess that's what my Tivo is for. A customer last night told me, after he and Nick got into a brief discussion about his "Liberate America, Say No to Socialism" t-shirt - which I love, as Nick bleeds Republican and he squirms with suppressed rage whenever you mention liberals - "Liberals listen to talk radio to learn. Republicans listen to gather ammunition." You think so?
